Leptophilic-portal dark matter in the light of AMS-02 positron excess

چکیده

We revisit dark matter annihilation as an explanation of the positron excess reported recently by AMS-02 satellite-borne experiment. To this end, we propose a particle model considering Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) extended with additional singlet boson and fermion. The (light) mixes pseudoscalar inherent in 2HDM, fermion, which is candidate, annihilates via bosonic portal. candidate made leptophilic choosing lepton-specific 2HDM suitable high value $\tan\beta$. identify parameter space explains muon g-2 anomaly while evading experimental constraints. After establishing viability fermion to be calculate produced from its light bosons primarily decay muons. Incorporating Sommerfeld effect caused mediator appropriate boost factor, find that our proposed can satisfactorily explain fraction well spectrum data

The Positron Excess and Supersymmetric Dark Matter∗

Using a new instrument, the HEAT collaboration has confirmed the excess of cosmic ray positrons that they first detected in 1994. We explore the possibility that this excess is due to the annihilation of neutralino dark matter in the galactic halo. We confirm that neutralino annihilation can produce enough positrons to make up the measured excess only if there is an additional enhancement to th...

Antiprotons from dark matter annihilation through light mediators and a possible excess in AMS-02 p̄/p data

We show that in the scenario where dark matter (DM) particles annihilate through light mediators, the energy spectra of the final state cosmic-ray particles depend strongly on the mediator mass. For final state antiprotons, a spectrum with relatively narrow peak occurs when the mediator mass is comparable to the p̄p production threshold. Of interest, the latest AMS-02 data on the p̄/p flux ratio ...

Leptophilic dark matter from the lepton asymmetry.

We present a model of weak scale dark matter (DM) where the thermal DM density is set by the lepton asymmetry due to the presence of higher dimension lepton violating operators. In these models there is generically a separation between the annihilation cross section responsible for the relic abundance (through lepton violating operators) and the annihilation cross section that is relevant for t...

Indirect Searches for Dark Matter with AMS-02

AMS-02 is a multi-purpose spectrometer with superconducting magnet, and is designed for 3 years of data taking aboard the International Space Station. Its high performance regarding particle identification and energy measurement will allow performing indirect searches for dark matter (DM) in different channels simultaneously: gamma rays, positrons and antiprotons. AMS-02 sensitivity to those si...
